Pros to Breast feeding

Deciding how to care and raise a baby comes with many decisions and many weighing of options. There is many reasons for people to believe that breastfeeding is the best option by far. A reason for this is that breast milk provides nutrients and protection that cannot be completely received through formula. It contains protein, carbs, fat, vitamins and minerals. Each mother’s milk is made for her own baby and as her baby grows her milk changes to keep up with him/ her. Another key factor about it is that it contains disease preventing antibodies. Colostrum, which is your first milk has early protection and helps prevent harmful bacteria from growing and coating the digestive system’s of babies. Colostrum is pretty much a mother’s milk shield. Considering breast milk is coming from the human body, it is a lot easier for babies to digest than formula. There is also strong evidence that when children breastfeed they score higher on IQ tests. Another reason a lot of mothers opt to breastfeed rather than formula feed is because there’s no temperature it has to be warmed up to because it is always the right temperature, it is always fresh, it is ready right when the baby is hungry, and because you do not have to travel with any bottles or equipment. Also you have an endless supply of milk, as long as the baby is demanding it. In addition, breastfeeding does not only benefit the baby. Research has shown that breastfeeding can provide protection against breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and weak bones. It also will strengthen the bond between a mother and her baby. It helps the baby feel a sense of closeness and comfort. Breast milk plays such a pivotal role in the babies life that it is the only food or drink your baby needs for the first 6 months of life. So not only is it easy on your baby, it is easy on your budget! Now many mothers might think that if they want to go back to work the breastfeeding has to come to an end, but you can express milk by hand or with a breast pump and leave it for the baby to eat later. It can also be frozen. If all that did not seem like enough benefits for not only the baby but the mother too, it also benefits the environment. It is produced without any pollution, unnecessary packaging, or any waste.
